If you thought Washington was only famous for its apples, think again. The landscape is far scattered and beautiful no matter what part of the state you are visiting. Ellensburg is a beautiful town located about 100 miles east of Seattle in the state of Washington and is backdropped by the Cascade Mountain ranges just as in the painting. Come fall, the colors are spectacular and you could spend a day at many of the state parks that form the region.
